About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll work with a training provider that has developed an outstanding reputation in the education sector, particularly among schools and multi-academy trusts. They are keen to bring on an apprenticeship sales professional with experience selling into education organisations, such as schools and trusts. However, they are also open to candidates with experience selling apprenticeships in other sectors they support, including early years and business and professional services.
This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on winning business and building lasting client relationships, with candidate resourcing taken care of by the recruitment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote apprenticeship programmes across education, early years, and professional services, or specialise in one area
- Win new business and build a portfolio of schools, trusts, and other organisations
- Maintain and nurture long-term client relationships
- Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure apprenticeship positions are filled efficiently
- Achieve results in a target-driven environment with a commission structure that rewards your success
- Build on your experience in apprenticeship sales and take your career to the next level
- Focus on business development and client engagement, with candidate resourcing taken care of by the recruitment team
- Work remotely with quarterly team meet-ups in London
- Be part of a sector that’s about more than sales – it’s about addressing skills gaps, creating career pathways, and delivering real value to organisations
- At least 2 years of experience in apprenticeship sales, ideally selling into schools and multi-academy trusts, with strong relationships with decision-makers (e.g., headteachers, business managers)
- Open to candidates with experience selling into early years or business/professional services
- A proven track record of winning new business, meeting sales targets, and thriving in a target-driven environment
- Competitive salary of £32,000–£35,000 with uncapped commission
